Getting things back on track — yes, can post stuff here again!

Hello everyone! I haven’t been active on here for a while, but I've returned to active moderation and am looking to get everything back on track.

Over the last year, you may have noticed that 99% of posts on this sub were made by our one active mod, /u/Somanycookies1. In my absence, he was was essentially left to run this place by himself, and a lot of things were left to atrophy. While he’s done a good job of keeping a regular flow of posts, during his time running this place solo, the sub was essentially set to approval-only, with all posts by new users being filtered and subject to manual approval. After the first month or two with this setting enabled, activity began to trail off until it had essentially become his blog, with him as the only active poster outside of the spambots caught in the filter. Upvote counts and occasional comments indicated there was still active interest in viewing things here, but almost nobody was submitting posts on their own. It was a pretty sad state of affairs — before I went on hiatus, a few of our active users expressed frustrations with trying to get their posts approved before they ultimately quit posting here entirely.

I'm sorry for the way things have been, but hopefully they'll be looking up soon! I'm pleased to announce that with my return, we've turned the approval-only filter off, and everyone should be free to post as usual. For now, we've kept some of the filters in place, provided your account is over the threshold for karma (35 link, 20 comment) and account age (2 weeks).

Within the next few days, I'm also looking to sort out some persistent issues — for one, users of the old Reddit layout (including myself) are subject to a few odd glitches in our very dated CSS which prevents direct-hosting submissions, and automatically capitalizes the titles of text posts. The rules are also going to be rejigged a bit, though the changes I'll be making shouldn't be too much of an impediment.

Here's to a better year for /r/hentaifemdom in 2025!

EDIT: Turns out we still had a “Crowd Control” filter on which was preventing any users without recent submissions in the sub from posting. I've turned it off, so any barriers to posting should be gone now besides the karma threshold.
