Project No. 9 is not really a known studio, however their works are pretty popular, some examples include:
Higehiro
Netoyome
Tomozaki
Choyoyu
Stepmom’s Daughter
Angel Next Door
and a couple other titles.
Generally, the works of this studio seems to be disliked, with the highest rated is Angel Next Door (7.92), then Love After World Domination (7.45), Higehiro (7.29), finally followed by Tomozaki (7.12). The rest are rovering around the 6’s or less.
Higehiro is the studio’s most popular work, which is known for being wholesome but having a bad ending/weak later half.
A lot of their works seem to have decent/average artstyles, but the animation for many of the series are pretty subpar. The adaptations are pretty okay (not counting Angel Next Door), but I think they make a lot of the series somewhat enjoyable.
In my personal opinion, Stepmom’s Daughter is fantastic, same with Higehiro, Tomozaki, and Angel Next Door. Although the studio is really lacking in production values, the anime they make are always fun to watch.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but Project No. 9 has become one of my favourite studios recently, mostly because of the enjoyment quality.
What are your thoughts on the studio/the anime they released?
