Recently watched again that video of Nostalgia Critic about “Can a movie be so good it’s bad” and seen that people mentioned many”Oscar Bait” films as those films that they think are “so good it’s bad”.
Are there any anime (be it film, OVA or TV series) that could classify as oscar bait?
Or at least, I’m quoting this from the end of that same video:
“What films that you know should be phenomenal but don’t feel phenomenal to you for some reason, even though nothing seems to be wrong… What flims should have you felt bawling with emotion, but for an almost unexplainable reason, didn’t”.
