You know what I’m talking about – they take, say, a 5-10 minute scene, and cut out bits of it so that there’s a jarring visual and audio break every 10 seconds (or less), not to mention skipped conversations, etc.
I get that it’s probably done to stop youtube’s algorithms from finding it for DMCA violations or something, but I have yet to see an example of such a clip that is actually enjoyable to watch. This chopping up completely ruins it for me to the point where I now stop watching the clip a few seconds in, after the first chop.
Even when I’m trying to recommend a show I’m loving to someone else and I’m searching for a clip of a funny scene, I just can’t bring myself to give them a link to something like that.
Are there enough people who actually *enjoy* this type of content to make posting it worthwhile?
