Hi everyone! I just finished reading *The Setting Sun* by Osamu Dazai, and was wondering if there were any anime that are similar in theme, or atmosphere as the novel. Any length or genre of series is fine, as long as it has some resemblance to the novel.
Here’s is a brief synopsis of the novel if anyone was interested:
The story revolves around Kazuko, an aristocrat, in the post-war Japan. Due to the shift in culture, aristocratic families no longer have as much power or influence as the used to. As a result, Kazuko, who is insistent on surviving, struggles to conform to society’s new morals in order to care for her sickly mother, and mentally scarred brother.
