1: You are busy. Way too busy. Always in a hurry, which is not unusual for a successful product manager rapidly rising up the corporate ladder. You rush out of the workplace for a quick snack which you can eat on the way. Your regular sandwich place is closed, so you peek into the shabby coffee joint next door. Not dignified enough for you. But in your hurry, you forgot to bring your purse. The barista is looking at you like you are a thief, there is a long queue behind you and people are getting patient. “Ugh, fine”, he goes. “You can just pay with your body this time”. At least, you don’t have to waste time getting your purse. He points towards the closet in the back, you’re already hopping towards it, removing your panties and heels along the way. The crowd groans, knowing they are just in for a longer wait. The small closet door closes behind you, drowning out the crowd and providing the barest form of privacy. The other customers might still hear the encounter. You hear the barista dropping his pants….. “I hope it’s a safe day for you, I don’t want to waste a condom”… You sigh, this was the fifth time this month…

2: Finally, after failing thrice, you had cleared your dmv driving test (how embarrassing). You heave a sigh of relief. You had been a nervous wreck but your test attendant was a kindly gentleman with a reassuring voice. He had smiled at you encouragingly. You are about to thank him but are interrupted as he gets a call from his wife. He assures her that he will be home soon and hangs up with an “I love you”. He turns his attention back to you and congratulates you with a brilliant smile. What a kind man! You must show your appreciation. Taking a quick look around to make sure the road is empty, you make up your mind. “Excuse me, I just wanted to thank you. You have been most helpful.”. With those words, you take off your bottoms. “You can come inside me if you like”. He considers your offer for a moment before gladly accepting. “My wife is waiting for me, so maybe we can only go a few rounds”. Well, you hadn’t exactly planned for that but why not, you smile at him, moving over to straddle him and reclining his seat all the way…

Casualness is a big thing for me, and it’s prevalent to a lot of what I imagine around this world, so I think it would be a good idea to go over briefly what “casual” actually is. To me, at least. Casual is the lack of emotional investment in something, casual sex, is sex without some greater emotional investment. That of course doesn’t mean the lack of any emotions overall, there’s plenty of room for there to still be things to think and feel. What casual isn’t, can be harder to define, because the borders are blurry.

So where does that take us? Well, it’s partially up to you as well! What I mean is that the opportunities and options are more or less endless. This prompt exists more to provide a framework and overarching ideas and themes, with space for you to also get creative. Something that I enjoy about free use worlds is how things might have changed to accommodate this new culture. This could be something like a relief station, likely of many different kinds and variations in this kind of world. Building on my thoughts on public sex (or the lack of it) it could also be booths or other ways/places for you to take sexual encounters to get out of the way of others.

The way I usually play these things out is a series of shorter vignette-like scenes, in what could almost be seen as a sort of “anthology” set-up. It lets us remain flexible with good pacing, while also being able to follow a story through a couple of scenes if necessary. Whether this takes place in a contemporary/modern, sci-fi or fantasy setting I don’t mind. But understand that this is written with something contemporary in mind, if you would like fantasy or sci-fi then feel free to let me know! – but also it requires you to take some initiative and explain the why’s and how’s of what you imagine.
