Boiiiii this shit took me by surprise. I heard great things from people on this sub who were watching when it was airing, and the rest was mostly people complaining it wasn’t being simulcasted. Its finally on streaming and now I understand why everyone thought this deserved to be released weekly.
The show gives me vibes similar to Steins;Gate with a touch of Erased, and tad bit of horror. I knew it was some supernatural mystery but I was NOT expecting it to be spooked by it so much. In fact I went to bed a bit anxious and scared of turning off the lights which I don’t usually get (and I say this as someone who enjoys most horror films, but maybe it was simply my mood that day). I’m a big fan of the 1978 “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” after viewing it with some homies during the pandemic, and this was reminiscent of that as well, at least in concept. The OP and ED are also terrific and have interesting imagery I don’t see in most other anime OPs and EDs.
The show seems a bit lengthy for how quickly paced it feels right now, but I’m sure there’s way more to it than what I’m sensing right now.
