(To Me, The One Who Loved You & to Every You I’ve Loved Before) review coming from a local, probably biased weeb. Who watched it in the order as the brackets show. (contains spoilers so only read the first paragraph if you have not watched it)

^(ill remain spoiler in this paragraph. THE REST ARE SPOILERS)

The story was great apart from the basic premise, the animation felt mediocre I guess i compared it to animes like Oshi No ko etc so it seemed in comparison ig. The anime gave of sorta bunny girl senpai vibes with it delving into such hypothetical scientific scenarios while also giving of vibes from other animes like I want to eat your pancreas. Well if you haven’t watched it you should know depending on which movie you watch first the ending changes for you. Which is a neat concept I’ve not seen any other movie do and ofc its in the romance genre so get ready to cry ^((From what I’ve heard I think I got the happy ending).)

# The main problem:

With that out of the way I didn’t like how the “accident” occured basically what Led to Shiori’s consciousness to split from its original body I mean that basically started the whole debacle. Both Koyomi and Shiori should’ve known that even step siblings can marry each other (definitely not saying this cuz of animes like domestic gf). Idk about Shiori as she was the one to propose the idea of parallel shifting to a world where there parents didn’t get married. I mean perhaps in the heat of the moment she thought that and nothing would go wrong but…

# Koyomi messed up hard

Koyomi should’ve done something I mean its practically shoved into our faces that Koyomi is a genius scientist. That he was smart from the start even his grandpa knew so why didn’t bro know that step sibling can marry another a simple google search could’ve avoiding this ffs. Ik people can get blinded by love but trying go to such extreme measures and use such an experimental technology is not the brightest idea. Koyomi should already know that the effect of parallel shifting (at that time of the story) is temporary as demonstrated by his grandpa and dog arc perhaps it was actually Koyomi’s fault no wonder bro dedicated his whole life to get Shiori back even if they both don’t remember shi- about each other

# Sorry for this rant, with that out of my system onto the good bits:

I loved the scenes about the grandpa and the dog from both movies made me shed tears. Especially that letter scene. Him trying to ask forgiveness to his grandpa from another world was touching.

# Kazune best girl?

I liked Kazune’s character her progression between all the versions of herself. The losing the son part on the second movie made me feel attached to her as in the first movie she really just popped out of nowhere. The ending to the story was on a good note though it would’ve been cool if bro managed to stay with Shiori somehow got there memories etc back but that’s wishful thinking. I mean we are watching a romance anime movie so that’s likely not to happen. I swear most romance anime movies don’t end on a good note. I watched these movies over the course of 2 days and it was for sure worth it even if the event that caused all of the story of the movie to be lackluster. Still the I’m happy that he ended up with Kazune.

# In conclusion

I would give these anime movies a solid 8/10 because of the event that caused all of the story of the movie to be lackluster. It sure did make up for it in it heavenly soundtrack and the whole rest of the story even the science bits (which I think was just bullshit science) fitted in well. I liked the second movie more and would probably give it a 10/10 that’s a little biased as I would need info from the first movie to enjoy the second movie that much.

I watched these movies over the course of 2 days and it was for sure worth it!

After some googling was surprised to know imaginary science is actually a profession. An imaginary scientist seems like a cool thing to be. What if they actually find out that parallel worlds exist xd. Would love to hear your guys thoughts about this movie
