Was Yu Yu Hakasho the first anime/manga to have the Main Character killed by a vehicle at the very beginning of the story?

Was thinking about the Car/Bus/Truck-kun trope of running over the main character at the start before they are resurrected or reincarnated.

My first memory of this in anime was Yu Yu Hakasho which aired in 1992 (Manga in 1990).

Is this the first iteration of this trope in anime/manga or are there any other examples of this from even earlier?
