I mean, I get that silence is _not_ preferable, and that in real life swords make _some_ sound, but often they are completely over the top.
Anyone know why they seem to add these sounds that ‘clash’ with any kind of aural logic? Especially in fantasy Anime.
Is it now just a staple, like that same door creak, horse whinny or turkey gobble (Age of Empires anyone?) we _always_ hear?
Perhaps it’s like when characters in live action films load their guns for what would be, to either no effect, or too many times. Maybe that’s why they never seem to run out of bullets…
Wouldn’t it be hilarious if the villian just started making fun of the ‘hero’ for over-racking, or never reloading a gun? 😅
I could kind of see that happening in Archer, like when he counts bullets?
> “How do you know how many bullets he has left!?”
>_”How do you not?”_ 😂
